Busy rural centre with an unusual clock tower dated 1679. The wide High Street has late 18/19th C. houses offering many family-run shops. Watton has the only church in the country that is wider than it is long. To the south is Wayland Wood, which is connected to the famous story of the ´Babes in the Wood´. They are depicted on the town sign.
