Timber-framed building, built in 1502 with walls of brick, flint, wattle & daub. Has a thatched roof, coloured pargetting, local artefacts & bygones.

This delightful mediaeval cottage of 1502 is the oldest domestic building in the market town of Dereham. The Museum was founded, and is still run by the Dereham Antiquarian Society.

Displays include the history and archaeology of Dereham and surrounding areas, and a local collection room with photographs and memorabilia from bygone Dereham. There are also displays covering the history of the building itself, and about the infamous Bishop Bonner from whom Museum takes its name.

There is also a range of changing displays. Books and souveniers are on sale in the Museum.
