Trips from Ranworth on Helen show what travel was like on a Broads reed lighter - a vessel that traditionally used to carry bundles of reed.

Trips provide a 2 hr guided tour of Malthouse Broad and trips to St Benet's Abbey on Cockshoot Broad on the River Bure. Every afternoon the Helen offers a ferry service between the staithe and the Norfolk Wildlife Trust visitor centre on Ranworth Broad departing every 0.5hr.
