Ceroc Oxford will be running weekly Modern Jive classes on Thursday nights at Didcot Civic Hall starting Thurs 10 April 2008. For those who know nothing about the world of dance……Ceroc is the fastest growing dance phenomenon in the country.

It’s a fusion of Jive and Salsa, it’s easy to learn and can be danced to any music with a regular beat. You don't need any previous dance experience - you just turn up on the night and join in.

The great thing is, you don’t need a partner and there’s no “week 1” – so if you miss a night, it’s not a problem. There are 19 beginner moves, and these are taught in sets of 3 moves. The teachers are great at breaking down the moves and making the class really fun!

Each night consists of a Beginner Class, Intermediate Class and then “freestyle” so you get to practice your dancing with different partners to some great music. Taxi Dancers (more experienced dancers) are on hand to help complete beginners – so you’re never left feeling like a wallflower.

If you are thinking of taking up something new in 2008, why not try dancing? If you needed extra encouragement, there’s a special promotion for brand new joiners – if you purchase 6 nights worth of classes on your first night then you only pay £4 per night instead of the usual £8 (£6 for concessions). The 6 weeks don’t have to be used consecutively.
