Specialist herb nursery and display gardens; barn gift shop; Saxon Maze and coffee shop.
The Herb Farm was first established in 1985 with the reconstruction on its present site at Sonning Common in rural South Oxfordshire, of the picturesque timber-framed barn transported from a farm south of Reading.
This formed the centrepiece of the specialist Herb Nursery where experienced staff grow a comprehensive range of herb plants to sell. Cottage garden plants and old-style roses are also available and can be seen in mature settings in the attractive display gardens.
in 1999 a new purpose-built barn was opened as 'The Barn Shop' displaying a fascinating range of herb-based products and hand-crafted items which add elegance to the home and style to the garden.
A summer attraction for families is the beech hedge Saxon Maze with over a mile of curving grass pathways.
The Herb Farm is open seven days a week and no visit is complete without enjoying the excellent service at Daisy's Coffee Shop where freshly prepared food is served inside or outside in relaxed and comfortable garden surroundings.
