Greys Court is a picturesque Tudor house with a magical series of walled gardens nesting on a tranquil hillside on the edge of the Chilterns.

Enjoy light lunches and handmade cakes in the Tudor stables and keep the family entertained with explorer packs. The gardens are delightful and once discovered you will want to visit again.

The Greys Court Estate comprises of 280 acres including formal gardens, woodland, parkland and common land which fall in the Chiltern AONB. The estate is located three miles west of Henley-on-Thames and is centred on Greys Court Manor.

Greys Court has been principally owned by four key families, who have all played a role in shaping the Estate you see today. The de Grey family are mentioned in the Doomsday book as the owners of Greys Court and it was the first Lord de Grey who crenellated the Manor House in the 14th Century. The estate was given to the Knollys family by Henry VII after the battle of Bosworth and eventually passed by marriage to the Stapletons' who remained at Greys until 1935. Greys was then briefly owned by the Flemings who sold the property to the Brunners in 1937.

Lady Brunner's passion for Greys Court can be seen in the house and gardens. The mansion is presented in the domestic style of the Brunner family.

There is much to discover from rare Tudor donkey wheels to icehouses, walls dating back to the 14th Century and beautiful attention to detail in the garden design.

Discover an historic house and intimate family home with a fascinating history.
