The magnificent, historic gardens at Waterperry make it one of Oxfordshire's most enjoyable and interesting days out.
Waterperry Gardens boasts eight acres of ornamental gardens, featuring a spectacular herbaceous border, Mary Rose Garden, River Walk and traditional Knot Garden - all steeped in history and a peaceful delight for the garden lover. Our nursery stock beds also offer budding designers the chance to see mature plants and flowers, as well as inspirational ideas for the garden.
High-quality plants grown on site are available to buy from our large plant centre, and the garden shop offers a full range of sundries, gifts for the home and garden, and the full range of RHS books. Helpful and friendly staff are always on hand to offer their experience and advice.
Arts and crafts featuring local and national artists are available in the Art in Action Gallery, which is housed in a magnificent restored 18th century barn. The Museum of Rural Life offers a glimpse of Oxfordshire life from bygone times.
No visit to Waterperry is complete without a home baked lunch or cake from the Pear Tree Teashop, all made with fresh, local ingredients, and yours to enjoy inside or out.
Don't forget to keep a lookout for our programme of special events including Shakespeare in the Garden and Apple Weekend.
Waterperry Gardens has something for everybody - whatever time of the year. Groups over 20 must book in advance.
