Our handsome listed house is in the centre of the heritage village of Nayland, with its shops, post office, pub, restaurant and colour washed houses. Set in the heart of Constable Country, Nayland nestles in the Stour Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

We have 3 rooms available for guests - 2 doubles and 1 twin. All bedrooms are tastefully furnished and have en suite facilities with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Rates from £45 - £60.

Offering fine bed and breakfast accommodation, The Steam Mill House provides a natural base for a visit to Suffolk & Essex.

The beautiful villages of Dedham, Lavenham, Long Melford & Kersey are nearby, with a wealth of fine restaurants and country pubs in the area. Colchester, Britain's oldest recorded Roman town is only 7 miles away.

As an alternative, there are leisurely country walks starting from the village and a number of golf courses are nearby.
