Great Yarmouth Row Houses & Greyfriars Cloisters

Experience the sights and sounds of yesterday's Great Yarmouth. These unique and vividly presented houses, one set in c. 1870 and the other in 1942, just before the incendiary bombing, bring to life the lives of its previous occupants. See how centuries of different tenants lived, from wealthy merchants to tenement families . Learn about the lives of Yarmouth's 'herring girls' and hear an original BBC wartime broadcast and 'Mr Rope's sea shanties'. View the amazing collection of unusual artefacts rescued from the Row houses after World War 11, bombing including a collection of wrought iron doot knockers.
