A must is the cathedral with its magnificent West Front one of the top ten most photographed landmarks in the UK. Our museum is impressive with its collection of Jurassic sea monsters and don't miss the ghost walks.

If you're a train enthusiast make a visit to Railworld in the city centre. For steam fans - take a nostalgic ride on the Nene Valley Railway, home to Thomas the famous children's steam engine. Going even further back in time there is Flag Fen an important Bronze Age site.

Visit Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre - take a tractor ride and meet the animals. As for stately homes - impressive Burghley House, the largest and grandest Elizabethan houses in England. Also within easy reach Elton Hall, Rockingham Castle, Grimsthorpe Castle and Prebendal Manor.
