skip You will find our lovely 'no smoking' Guest House adjoining The Hoe and Seafront. Carla and Dave Hawton took over the guest house from Carla`s parents when they retired in 1997 after 29 years and are proud to maintain the excellent reputation for comfort and cleanliness.
The house was built in 1898 of a style favoured by upper class families who would have had live-in servants. It is very well maintained and has been extensively refurbished while retaining many original features and with the comfort of the guest in mind.
All rooms have colour t.v., complimentary tea/coffee/biscuits and hairdryers. Ironing facilities are available.
All rooms are en suite including two on the ground floor. We also have a luxury king size four poster en suite bedroom.
For the comfort and safety of all guests we are a non smoking house.
Private parking. Additional street parking is free of charge after 4p.m. and before 10a.m.
Our extensive breakfast menu typically consists of fruit juice; buffet style choice of cereals, fruit and yoghurts; freshly cooked egg, bacon, sausage, tomato, mushrooms, hash brown and baked beans followed by unlimited toast with a varied selection of spreads and preserves and bottomless tea and coffee. Special diets are also catered for.
