The original beams are in evidence and it boasts an unusual circular, iron chandelier. Over the open fireplace is a coat of arms of the Harewood family who previously owned the Pub, and indeed the whole village.
The Bay Horse Inn is an ideal base from which to tour the Yorkshire Dales, being only a 30 minute drive away from York and 10 minutes from Harrogate. We have five tastefully furnished bedrooms only recently being completed. All are fully en-suite with colour televisions, hairdryers and tea or coffee making facilities. Please note that for the comfort of our guests the rooms are strictly no smoking and no pets. Accomodation is in an annex- adjoining the pub.
The pub was once a staging post, and before that there was a Roman settlement in the area. The Bay Horse has gained a reputation for fine Food and Wines. Our recently renovated restaurant offers traditional home cooked meals which are served daily. Our award winning garden is tucked away at the rear of the pub for the enjoyment of our guests and is the ideal place to relax. We can also cater for parties, weddings and indeed most private functions as marquee facilities can be arranged if you need to accommodate in excess of 80 guests. Beds and Rooms - skip
