A walk along Plymouths Waterfront Walkway allows you to explore the history and magnificent setting of the maritime city. Beyond this you can continue along the rest of the South West Coast Path and take in the dramatic views of the sea, a picturesque harbour or river estuary.
If this sounds like too much like hard work why not relax and take a boat trip along the coast and into the rivers Yealm and Tamar. The Tamar Valley with its superb river creeks and estuaries is not only an important haven for wildlife, but has also been designated An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Take the Cremyll Ferry over to Mount Edgcumbe to visit the Tudor mansion and gardens set in 865 acres of parkland.
