Visit Brandon Country Park to enjoy nature. Here families can stroll and picnic in the walled garden, enjoy a light lunch or afternoon cream tea, or visit the gift shop which is located within the visitor centre.
At the Brandon Heritage Centre, visitors can discover the
fascinating story of Brandon´s history from Neolithic times to the present day and explore Brandon´s long and varied relationship with flint, fur and forestry.
Those keen on watching wildlife and birds might like to head for Weeting Heath National Nature Reserve. Here typical Breck birds like Stone Curlews, Woodlarks and Nightjars may be seen - as well as deer
and squirrels.
Deep in the heart of Thetford Forest, High Lodge Visitor Centre offers everything a visitor is looking for: way-marked trails, three levels of cycle trails, year-round events, cycle hire, the Go Ape high ropes course, picnic areas and a visitor centre.
Lakenheath Fen is an amazing place to visit. The RSPB nature reserve has lots to see - Bearded Tits, Marsh Harriers, dragonflies, wading birds and Kestrels hovering over areas of grassland, searching for
voles and shrews.
The Little Ouse Path, at a length of 10 miles, is an interesting walk between the Breckland towns of Brandon and Thetford - which, for much of the route, follows the towpath of the Little Ouse River.
