Set within 50 acres, the shelter takes in thousands of unwanted or injured animals, housing them in spacious runs until new homes can be found. Some, particularly farm and exotic animals such as llamas and a pigmy goat have become permanent residents and they welcome visitors. There is a restaurant and picnic facilities, a pet care gift shop, thrift shop, an indoor arena with a special events programmeincluding riding for the disabled, access and facilities forthe disabled and ample parking. Parties are by appointment.
