Mid-Norfolk Railway

Running between the market towns of Dereham and Wymondham.

Station built in 1884 is northern outpost of Mid-Norfolk Railway. Situated in the heart of the unspoilt Wensum Valley. Tearoom, picnic area, small exhibition, walks, orchard and wildlife pool. Its long term aim is to connect with the existing 11.5 miles, Dereham to Wymondham line bringing it to a total length of 18 miles. Throughout the year there are various special events for all ages ranging from Easter Specials to Jazz Trains and Enthusiast weekends, with the year culminating in the Santa Specials.

Opening Hours
Please phone for details. Trains operate at weekends and bank holidays from March to the end of October. Wednesdays are added from May 10th-October 25th and Thursdays from July 27th-September 7th. On the second Saturday of every month a Farmers Market is held on Dereham Station car park between 9.00am and 12noon.
