West Stow is the site of an Anglo-Saxon settlement occupied 420-650AD. Today there is a unique reconstructed Anglo-Saxon Village built on the original site, giving visitors the opportunity to experience Anglo-Saxon houses as we imagine them to have been. Visitors can also see archaeological finds from the site displayed in a specially built Centre.
West Stow is brought to life by living history costume groups during holiday periods. Please call or email for details. Schools and other groups are welcome provided they book in advance.
The Anglo-Saxon village is set in a 125 acre Country Park with river, lake and woodland plus nature trails, cafe, shop and children's play area.
