Ickworth is one of England's most extrodinary houses. A rotunda begun in 1795, the inspiration of the Earl of Bristol (also Bishop of Derry), housing a major collect of pictures including works by Titian, Gainsborough and Velasquez, fine furniture and Georgian silber. The house is set in a 'Capability' Brown park and surrounded by an Italian garden with a range of waymarked woodland walks, and adventure playground and picnic area. Italian Gardens: daily Jan 2-Mar 16: 11-4. Mar 17-Oct 1: 10-5. Oct 2-Dec 31: 11-4.
Park: All year: dawn to dusk daily except Dec 25.
