This magnificent cathedral church, a gift to the city of Norwich of Henry Fitzalan-Howard, 15th Duke of Norfolk is situated on a prominence to the west of the city and clearly visible when approaching the city from the north and west. Building commenced in 1894 and completed in 1910. Designed in the early English style by George Gilbert Scott Junior, it is a magnificent example of 19thC gothic revival featuring some of the finest 19thC stained glass in Europe; exquisite stone carving and a wealth of Frosterley marble.
