INGATESTONE HALL
A 16thC mansion and gardens built by Sir William Petre, Secretary of State to 4 Tudor monarchs, and still occupied by his descendants. The house largely retains its original form and appearance (including 2 priests' hiding places) and contains furniture portraits and other pictures and memorabilia accumulated by 15 generations of the family.
