Oliver Cromwells House
The family home of Oliver Cromwell, extended to give the visitor a deeper insight into 17thC life. In addition to theparlour kitchen and tithe office, the 1st floor contains a civil war exhibition as well as Cromwell´s study and a haunted bedroom. There are 2 films to watch: 1 on Oliver Cromwell and another on the drainage of the fens. The front of the house contains Ely´s Tourist Information Centre and acomprehensive gift shop.
Open 2 Jan-31 Mar, Mon-Fri, 1100-1600, Sat, 1100-1700, Sun, 1115-1600; 1 Apr-31 Oct, daily, 1000-1730; 1 Nov-31 Dec, Mon-Fri, 1100-1600, Sat, 1100-1700, Sun, 1115-1600. Closed 25 Dec, 1 Jan.Evening tours by arrangement.
