skipSomerleyton Hall is an early Victorian stately mansion built in Anglo-Italian style with lavish architectural features, magnificent carved stonework & fine state rooms. Paintings by Landseer, Wright of Derby and Stanfield. Wood carvings by Willcox of Warwick & Grinling Gibbons. The justly renowned 12-acre gardens feature an 1846 yew hedge maze, glasshouses by Paxton, fine statuary, pergola & walled garden. Vulliamy tower clock, specimen trees & borders. Open 1 Apr - 28 Oct, Thurs, Sun & Bank Holidays. Also open Tues & Weds during Jul & Aug, 1000 - 1700. Hall tours 1130 - 1530.
