Gooderstone Water Gardens were created by retired farmer Billy Knights in 1970 from a wet meadow. They cover an area of 6.5 acres beside the River Gadder, a sparkling clear trout stream. There are 4 ponds, waterways, 13 bridges, flat grassy paths, mature trees and shrubs, colourful bog plants and border perennials. The tearoom serves delicious home-made cakes, there are plant sales, toilets for disabled people and lots of benches throughout the garden. A unique garden enjoyed for its beauty and tranquility. There is an 8.5 acre wildlife area and Kingfisher hide. the garden is open daily all year. Tearoom opens Easter to end of September, Sat, Sun, Tue & Wed afternoons. Admission - Adults £4, Senior Citizens £3.50, Children £1. 5 years and under free. Groups welcomed by appointment.
