A large, 3-storey, ex-government regional headquarters buried some 100ft below ground.

A large, 3-storey, ex-government regional headquartersburied some 100ft below ground, complete with canteen, BBC studio, dormitories, plant room, plotting floor, communications and scientists´ rooms and an entrance tunnel. This bunker was active until as recently as 1992.The would-be home of the Government in the event of nuclear war, capable of holding up to 600 civilian and military personnel and over 120 tonnes of equipment.
