Martlesham Heath Aviation Soc Control Tower Museum

Original World war II control tower built in 1942. The museum depicts the history of this famous airfield 1917-1979.

It was the testing station for all aircraft pre-war. It was also an important Battle of Britain base. It is now home to U.S.A.A.F 356FG 1943-1945. Post war, blind landings and bomb ballistic tests took place at this site.
