The memorial library occupies 2000sq ft, has a book collection of 4000 volumes on American topics with approximately a quarter related to the role of the 2nd Air Division, 8th Air Force in World War II. The library has a shrine area, reflecting its war memorial status with the 2nd Air Division roll of honor which lists the 6,700 men who died in action. A mural, 28ft long depicts aspects of the ´Friendly Invasion´ and there are models of assembly ships and paintings of aircraft and wartime life.
