The Shepreth Wildlife Park was started in 1979 by Terry Willers to care for wild animals that were either road, gun or gassing casualties, unwanted pets or saved from the meat markets. In 1984 the sanctuary´s fish farm opened to the public. To fund the work of running the sanctuary, by 1988 Shepreth had grown into a fully-fledged wildlife park with about 80,000 visitors a year. Tigers, mountain lions, lynx, wolves, monkeys, owls, otters, pinemartens, very large carp and koi feed from your hands. New play area for 2004 with ´The Wild Sea Monkey´ pirates ship and lots more.
