Dunwich Heath

Remnant of the once extensive Sandling Heaths and one of Suffolk's most important nature conservation areas. Many excellent walks and access to beach. Coastguard cottages with Observation room, tearoom and shop.

Reserve open all year: daily, dawn to dusk. Tearoom & shop open 6 Jan-4 March: Sat & Sun only. Feb half term, 1 March-16 April, 26 April-9 July, 30 Sept-31 December: Wed-Sun. 17-23 April, 29 May-4 June, 10 July-7 Sept: daily. Open from 1000.
