Eighteen miles of footpaths and bridle ways through meadows, woodland and plotland gardens. This reserve is managed by the Essex Wildlife Trust for the benefit of wildlife. Our visitor centre provides refreshments, toilets, display and gift shop for the convenience of visitors. A former plotland home, the haven, has been restored to 1930s style. It is open as a museum and provides an insight into the rich social history of the reserve. A full programme of events is provided to help people enjoy the natural and social history of Langdon.
