Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve

One of Britain's oldest nature reserves.

The last remaining undrained portion of the great Fen levels of East Anglia, rich in plant & invertebrate life & good for birds. There is also a working windpump & a Fen Cottage, restored as it might have been in the 1930s. A boadwalk of 0.75 miles gives easy access to the heart of the Fens, suitable for disabled access.

Nature Reserve open all year, daily, dawn-dusk. Visitor Centre, open all year, Tue - Sun, 1000-1700 & Bank Hol Mon, 1000-1700. Closed 25 Dec. Fen Cottage open Apr - Oct, Sun & Bank Hol Mon, 1400-1700.
