Kettle´s Yard is a house with a major collection of 20thC paintings and sculpture shown in a unique domestic setting and a gallery with a changing programme of exhibitions. The collection includes work by Ben and Winifred Nicholson, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth and Alfred Wallis. Works of art are interlaced with natural objects and the whole place is lit with natural light. Founded by Jim Ede, a former curator at the Tate, everything is displayed as it was when he lived here. Visitors are encouraged to sit in the chairs and read the books. Next door is a gallery where exhibitions of modern and contemporary art are shown. There is also an extensive programme of children's and adults events, talks and workshops as well as concerts. Please see our website or leaflet for current programme.
