The beach of Bigbury-on-Sea is a very special highlight (in low tide the island covers some 11 hectares) entirely surrounded by the sea. It stretches all along a sandy area between the mainland and Burgh Island. In the summer, the beach is a popular meeting point featuring all the necessary facilities such as life guard stations, restaurants, sanitary facilities, etc. Holder of the Seaside Award!
