Ampthill
Ampthill

Ancient market town, under the brow of The Greensand Ridge. Picturesque narrow streets are lined with fine Georgian buildings. Ampthill Park was once home to a 15th C. castle where Henry VIII stayed, and his wife Katherine of Aragon was held during their divorce proceedings - a stone cross now marks the spot.
